8/31/2023 0 Comments Mamp pro enable curl![]() Marc's instructions seem to be for 10.4, so I'm wondering if I need to do anything special to get it to work on 10. double-clicking entropy-php.mpkg and following the instructions If I go back into my nf and uncomment the libphp5.so line, everything works fine with my old PHP5, but that doesn't really get me any farther ahead □ģ. Also tried re-running the installer again after commenting that line out, but still no luck. However, I commented that line out AFTER running the installer, but it still didn't work. Won't even serve up a static image file □ I'm wondering if it's because before running the installer, I didn't see the note about commenting out the line in my nf file which loads libphp5.so. I tried the following steps but now my Apache2 server is totally dead. I had Apache2/PHP5 working just fine with Leopard, but needed the PDO_mysql extension so decided to give Marc's PHP5 module a try. Hope this helps someone (and I didn't leave out any steps) I now have a working PHP installation with support for PDO and a bunch of other libraries on OSX 10.5.3 on a Mac Pro (2x2.66 Dual-Core) Socket=/path/to/socket/found_in_php.ini_ormy.cnf",'username','password') New PDO("mysql:host=localhost dbname=test unix The final workaround I had to do for PDO to work properly was to include the socket in the connection string: *watch out for short php tags* - they're disabled in this php build. (because I'd previously followed these instructions: (I did it this way so future upgrades are easier and the built in php remains untouched)Įnable the php.ini in /usr/local/php5/lib/ The entropy build adds a conf to 'other' if you install it as above, that loads the module from the /usr/local/php5 directory #LoadModule php5_module libexec/apache2/libphp5.so Then comment the existing php module in nf Sudo ln -sf /usr/local/php5/nf /etc/apache2/other/+nf Sudo mv /usr/local/php5 ~/Desktop/php5.old We have adjusted several menu items so that their display clearly matches the status of the program.
